THERAPY FOR CHILDREN & ADOLESCENTS

Thank you for being here and offering support to your child. Providing therapy for your child during or after a transition or trauma can profoundly impact their adulthood--professional success, healthy attachments to partners, cultivating meaningful friends, opportunities to try new things, courage to explore the world, and healthy ways of managing stress.

We can help facilitate deeper connections through:

  1. Creating safety and security

  2. Increasing emotional vulnerability

  3. Promoting healthier communication

  4. Expanding understanding

Ways we serve children

  • PLAY

Play is the language of a child. It is how children learn, process emotions, and express their needs.

  • ART

Art is healing. We may draw our emotions, use clay to express our inner anger monster, depict our emotions via color, or collage our dreams.

  • MUSIC

Music is a universal language. Music can help children express themselves, use sound to let out anger or joy, or co-regulate.

  • SOMATIC

Somatic work can be used to help a child learn self-regulation techniques. It can be beneficial for caregivers to engage in somatic work to offer co-regulation.
