Saugerties Therapy Center
The group practice was started in 2020, during the Pandemic and civil uprising, as a statement of infusing therapy and social justice. The model allows for seasoned clinicians and young clinicians to support one another's growth. In a similar way, individuals attending therapy at full cost support individuals from lower socioeconomic backgrounds to have access to the same high quality therapist at a reduced fee. Originally titled “Collective Resilience,” the name was changed to Saugerties Therapy Center when Nina Schmidbaur purchased the therapeutic collective, Clovelea, and renovated the stunning office space we now inhabit.

Clovelea
In 2023, Nina Schmidbaur made her dream a reality: she became a general contractor and collective therapeutic practice owner. She restored a historic property that had been vacant for 30 years. It now houses therapists and acupuncturists serving the lifespan — supporting birthing folks, families, adults, and aging elders.
