Play therapy supplies such as: sand tray + figurines, books, fidget items, and art supplies. A comfortable space to meet with parents.

Saugerties Therapy Center is a psychotherapy group located at Clovelea, in Saugerties NY.

Clovelea itself is an interdisciplinary healing practitioner space, offering an opportunity for collaboration across different fields.

Therapists are expected to be passionate about the work they do, work collaboratively with our team and provide clear clinical documentation in a timely manner. This position is supported and supervised by the clinic director, Nina Schmidbaur. Her practice is rooted in a social justice and trauma informed framework, that incorporates somatic and attachment therapy principles into her work. We intend to be a safe space for all queer, racial, gendered, ability, and age groups to exist and thrive in our practice. This can be seen in the physical space we inhabit, the culture of the practice, the fee structure we offer clients, and populations served.

Qualifications

  • Must hold a current license (LMSW, LCSW, LMHC) to practice mental health independently in NYS.

  • Must have their own liability insurance.

  • Should have extensive clinical experience and knowledge of trauma-informed care, play therapy, somatic experiencing, attachment or IFS.

  • Must be highly organized with strong attention to details.

  • Proficient in tech & able to maintain electronic health records and use google (gmail, docs, etc) and microsoft platforms (word, excel, etc).

Responsiblities

  • Provide weekly individual, child or family therapy sessions to consistent and agreed upon caseload of clients (full or part-time contracts available).

  • Demonstrate a passionate energy in the clinical work environment.

  • Attend weekly supervision with clinical supervisor and be open to new modalities and ways of engaging with clients.

  • Be strengths-based and trauma informed when working with clients and demonstrate a willingness to grow professionally and personally.

  • Maintain notes and treatment plans that are up-to-date, timely, and maintained in our EHR.

  • Perform other assigned tasks and duties.
